Since 2008, Running Aces Casino & Racetrack has operated a card room with Vegas-style poker and pit games, including a sit-down restaurant and entertainment from live music and comedy to a seasonal, full slate of harness racing. Thanks to new leadership at the casino, Ainsley Shea was retained to create a new brand, ‘cause this pony was getting really worn out. But it’s never easy to change horses.
Our whole team went to work – with Robert Bausch writing fresh positioning and strategy that would lay the foundation for an ongoing communications campaign that would get locals in the door for cards, food and entertainment. Next, Jeff Pfoser and our creative team redesigned their website and reimagined Running Aces’ entire visual brand. We’re specialists in developing communications to key market segments (among others), and this came in handy as the casino used Jing Zhang’s expertise to target the Asian market in Minnesota. Cameron Prudhomme also led several successful advertising video shoots for the casino, which were featured online. It took new leadership at the casino to realize that fresh insight was needed to reinvigorate the brand.
As a result of our work, traffic to the site improved 15% – with increased ticket sales throughout their 2015 racing season.
